Centennial Medals

Established in 1980 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of Rowing Canada Aviron, the medal is awarded to those who have contributed outstanding service to Canadian rowing, including those who win their first gold medal at the Olympic Games or World Championships.

Jack Guest Award

Jack Guest of the Don Rowing Club won the Diamond sculls at the 1930 Henley Royal Regatta and a silver medal at the 1928 Olympic Games in partnership with Joe Wright Jr.

Junior Male Sculler of the Year

Jake Thomasen (Leander Boat Club)

Bobby Pearce Award

Bobby Pearce of the Leander Boat Club won the Diamond sculls at the 1931 Henley Royal Regatta and gold medals at the 1928 and 1932 Olympic Games for his native Australia. He moved to Canada and turned professional and was never beaten as both an amateur and professional champion.

Established in memory of Thomas Keller, President of FISA for many years, by his friends particularly those at the Hanlan Boat Club of Toronto.

Tony Zasada Award

Established by the family and friends of Tony Zasada of the Regina Rowing Club. Tony was fifth in the coxed pair event at the 1984 Olympic Games and was killed in a car accident shortly afterwards.

RCA Special Citation Award

This special award was created last year to recognize significant acts of bravery, good sportsmanship and concern for others which uphold the traditional values of our sport. It is not an annual award.
