Rowing Canada Aviron's Position Statement on Doping in Sport

 

Rowing Canada Aviron is unequivocally opposed to the practice of doping in sport. It is strictly forbidden under the Canadian Rules of Racing and is an offence under Article XXI of Rowing Canada Aviron’s Constitution. It is an attempt to gain an advantage by cheating and brings dishonour to the individual, to the sport of rowing and to sport in general.

According to the World Anti-Doping Code, "It is each athlete's personal duty to ensure that no Prohibited Substance enters his or her body."
